He was one of the foremost person who spread yoga across the globe through his dynamic style of yoga called as “Iyengar Yoga”. K. Pattabhi Jois

Shri Krishna Pattabhi Jois was known worldwide for his “Ashtang Yoga”. He established the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute at Mysore with an aim to experiment on therapeutic aspects of yoga. Later on, in 2006, he opened a school in Florida, United States.

Swami Kuvalayananda

Swami Kuvalayananda is known for his research related to scientific foundations of yoga. He founded the Kaivalyadhama Health and Yoga Research Centre in the year 1924. Moreover, he published the first scientific journal dedicated towards the study of yoga, known as “Yoga Mimamsa”.

Swami Satyananda Saraswati

Bikram Choudhury is known for his “Bikram Yoga” which involves 26 yoga asanas sequence that is said to have a healing effect on the body and the mind. He began yoga at the age of four with Bishnu Ghosh, renowned physical culturist at that time and the younger brother of Paramhansa Yogananda. Bikram Choudhury is the founder of worldwide Yoga College of India.

Bharat Thakur is the founder of the “Artistic Yoga” and conducts corporate yoga workshops throughout the world. He studied the different forms of yoga like Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga and Kundalini Yoga under Guru Sukhdev.
